{"id":195056,"date":"2026-10-02T12:10:35","date_gmt":"2026-10-02T10:10:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/?p=195056"},"modified":"2026-10-02T09:15:37","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T07:15:37","slug":"could-hyundais-chinese-built-e17000-ioniq-v-come-to-europe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/nl\/2026\/10\/02\/could-hyundais-chinese-built-e17000-ioniq-v-come-to-europe\/","title":{"rendered":"Zou de in China gebouwde IONIQ V van Hyundai, die \u20ac 17.000 kost, naar Europa kunnen komen?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Vijf maanden nadat Hyundai de in China ontwikkelde IONIQ V had onthuld, is de elektrische fastback nu in de Chinese showrooms te zien.<\/p>\n<p>Het meest opvallende kenmerk is niet langer het futuristische ontwerp of de 800-volt-architectuur, maar de prijs: zelfs de versie met een actieradius tot 650 kilometer kost in China minder dan 17.000 euro.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>Beijing Hyundai heeft op 29 september de IONIQ V officieel gelanceerd, met vijf uitvoeringen waarvan de prijzen vari\u00ebren van 109.900 tot 139.900 yuan. Door tijdelijke introductiekortingen ligt die prijsvork nog lager, namelijk tussen 99.900 en 131.900 yuan.<\/p>\n<p>De goedkoopste auto kost dus ongeveer 12.000 euro tegen de huidige wisselkoersen, hoewel zo\u2019n directe omrekening weinig zegt over wat een Europese versie uiteindelijk zou kosten.<\/p>\n<p>Wat nog belangrijker is: Hyundai heeft nu de technische hiaten opgevuld die waren ontstaan na de onthulling van het model op de autosalon van Peking in april.<\/p>\n<h4>Twee LFP-accu's<\/h4>\n<p>De IONIQ V is verkrijgbaar met twee door CATL geleverde lithium-ijzerfosfaataccu\u2019s. Het kleinere accupakket van 53,5 kWh voorziet een aan de voorzijde gemonteerde motor van 140 kW\/188 pk van stroom en biedt een actieradius van maximaal 540 kilometer volgens de Chinese CLTC-testcyclus.<\/p>\n<p>De versie met een grotere actieradius is uitgerust met een accu van 66,8 kWh en een krachtigere motor van 168 kW\/225 pk. Hyundai geeft een CLTC-actieradius op van maximaal 650 kilometer.<\/p>\n<p>Sommige Chinese bronnen vertalen dat naar ongeveer 530 kilometer onder WLTP-omstandigheden, maar Hyundai heeft de auto nog niet voor Europa goedgekeurd, dus dat cijfer moet slechts als een indicatie worden beschouwd.<\/p>\n<p>Hoewel het misschien verrassend is voor een relatief betaalbare elektrische auto, maakt de IONIQ V gebruik van Hyundai\u2019s E-GMP-architectuur met een 800-volt elektrisch systeem. Hij is 4,90 meter lang, 1,89 meter breed en heeft een wielbasis van 2,90 meter, waardoor hij qua afmetingen vrijwel gelijk is aan de in Korea gebouwde IONIQ 6.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-195059\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/MK11.jpg?resize=640%2C427&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/MK11-scaled.jpg?resize=1024%2C683&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/MK11-scaled.jpg?w=1280&amp;ssl=1 1280w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/MK11-scaled.jpg?w=1920&amp;ssl=1 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Van binnen is de Chinese afkomst echter duidelijk zichtbaar. Een 27-inch 4K-scherm draait op de Snapdragon 8295-chip van Qualcomm, terwijl de rijhulpsystemen afkomstig zijn van de Chinese specialist Momenta. Het infotainmentsysteem maakt bovendien gebruik van lokaal ontwikkelde AI-diensten van Baidu en ByteDance.<\/p>\n<h4>\u2018In China, voor China, naar de wereld\u2019<\/h4>\n<p>Dat maakt de IONIQ V tot meer dan zomaar weer een regionale Hyundai. Het is het eerste zichtbare resultaat van de nieuwe strategie van de Koreaanse fabrikant om China niet alleen als afzetmarkt te gebruiken, maar ook als ontwikkelings- en exportbasis.<\/p>\n<p>Hyundai noemt die strategie \u201cIn China, For China, To Global\u201d. CEO Jos\u00e9 Mu\u00f1oz zei bij de onthulling van het model dat China veeleisende EV-klanten combineert met snelle ontwikkelingscycli, een uitgebreide toeleveringsketen voor accu\u2019s en een geavanceerd technologisch ecosysteem.<\/p>\n<p>Beijing Hyundai is van plan om in de komende vijf jaar 20 nieuwe elektrische modellen op de markt te brengen en streeft ernaar de jaarlijkse verkoop in China, inclusief export, tegen 2030 op te voeren tot 500.000 auto\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>Europa is een van de regio\u2019s die Hyundai heeft genoemd als mogelijke bestemming voor in China geproduceerde auto\u2019s. Dat maakt de IONIQ V bijzonder interessant, hoewel er nog geen bevestiging is dat het model in Europa op de markt zal komen.<\/p>\n<h4>Europa zou veel duurder zijn<\/h4>\n<p>De prijs in China kan zeker niet zomaar in euro\u2019s worden omgerekend. Een in China gebouwde IONIQ V zou een Europese typegoedkeuring nodig hebben en er zouden aanpassingen aan de specificaties moeten worden doorgevoerd, terwijl daar nog kosten voor transport, btw, distributie en dealermarges bij zouden komen.<\/p>\n<p>Wat nog belangrijker is: in de EU ge\u00efmporteerde, in China gebouwde batterij-elektrische auto\u2019s zijn momenteel onderworpen aan aanvullende compenserende heffingen. Fabrikanten die niet onder het onderzoek van de Europese Commissie vallen, moeten naast het normale EU-invoertarief het hoogste tarief van 35,31 TP3T betalen. Beijing Hyundai behoort niet tot de fabrikanten die profiteren van een van de lagere individuele tarieven.<\/p>\n<p>Dat maakt een Europese IONIQ V van \u20ac 15.000 of \u20ac 20.000 onrealistisch. Toch bieden de extreem lage productie- en verkoopkosten in China Hyundai aanzienlijke ruimte om een dergelijke auto concurrerend te positioneren, mocht het bedrijf besluiten deze te exporteren.<\/p>\n<p>Een Europese prijs tussen de \u20ac 30.000 en \u20ac 40.000 lijkt aannemelijker, hoewel dit sterk afhankelijk is van invoerheffingen en uitrusting. Maar dat levert een ander probleem op voor Hyundai: de 4,9 meter lange IONIQ V zou dan de eigen IONIQ 6 van het bedrijf aanzienlijk kunnen onderbieden. Die kost momenteel in Belgi\u00eb vanaf 43.199 euro na kortingen, of 48.199 euro volgens de catalogusprijs. De IONIQ 6-varianten met een grotere accu liggen nog hoger geprijsd.<\/p>\n<p>Dat is misschien wel het meest interessante aspect van het verhaal rond de IONIQ V. Hyundai trok naar China om daar op eigen terrein de concurrentie aan te gaan met Chinese fabrikanten van elektrische auto\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>Het resultaat is een elektrische auto van 800 volt met CATL-accu\u2019s en Chinese software, die slechts een fractie kost van de prijs van de bestaande elektrische modellen van Hyundai in Europa.
