Na de mild-hybride en plug-in-hybride aandrijflijnen voegt \u0160koda nu twee \u2018volledige hybride\u2019 varianten toe aan het Octavia-gamma. Dit is een primeur voor \u0160koda en nog steeds een zeldzaamheid binnen de Volkswagen-groep, hoewel daar waarschijnlijk verandering in zal komen.<\/p>\n

Sinds de introductie in 1996, precies 30 jaar geleden, is de \u0160koda Octavia verkrijgbaar met een uitgebreid aanbod aan aandrijflijnen. Van standaard benzine- en dieselmotoren tot mild- en plug-in-hybride varianten en zelfs een G-Tec-versie op aardgas (CNG).<\/p>\n

Nu voegt \u0160koda een \u2018full hybrid\u2019 toe aan de prijslijst van de Octavia, een primeur voor het merk. De nieuwe aandrijflijn is beschikbaar voor zowel de vierdeurs \u2018Limo\u2019 als de \u2018Combi\u2019-stationwagenversie. De eerste Octavia-modellen met hybride aandrijving zullen in december 2026 van de productielijn rollen.<\/p>\n

Twee vermogensstanden<\/b><\/h4>\n

De Octavia Hybrid wordt gelanceerd met twee vermogensvarianten: 100 kW (136 pk) of 125 kW (170 pk). Beide varianten zijn gebaseerd op de 1.5 TSI evo2-benzinemotor (met een vermogen van 96 kW of 110 kW) en zijn uitgerust met twee elektromotoren.<\/p>\n

De kleinere motor fungeert voornamelijk als generator, maar start ook de verbrandingsmotor. De krachtigere aandrijfmotor drijft de voorwielen aan en wint energie terug tijdens het remmen. Een NMC-accupakket van 1,6 kWh slaat energie op en voorziet de aandrijfmotor van stroom.<\/p>\n

De Octavia beschikt over twee rijmodi. In de serie-modus kan hij volledig elektrisch rijden zonder de benzinemotor te gebruiken. De elektrische actieradius is beperkt, gezien de accucapaciteit van 1,6 kWh en de laadstatus die automatisch tussen 40% en 90% wordt gehouden.<\/p>\n

Toch kan de Octavia tot 60 km\/u volledig elektrisch rijden. Dat is bijvoorbeeld handig bij het rijden in de stad of in files.<\/p>\n

Bij hogere snelheden rijdt de Octavia-hybride in parallelschakeling. De benzinemotor drijft de voorwielen aan, terwijl de elektromotor via een geautomatiseerde koppeling en een vaste overbrengingsverhouding ondersteuning biedt, waardoor het verbruik van fossiele brandstoffen wordt verminderd.<\/p>\n

Bij het afremmen of remmen wordt energie teruggewonnen en opgeslagen in de accu voor later gebruik. Het hele proces verloopt automatisch; de accu hoeft niet extern te worden opgeladen.<\/p>\n

Uitbreiding van de invoering<\/b><\/h4>\n

Een \u2018draadloze\u2019 hybride optie is een stimulans om voor de \u2018middenweg\u2019 op het gebied van elektrificatie te kiezen. Mild-hybride technologie heeft slechts een beperkte invloed op het brandstofverbruik en de uitstoot.<\/p>\n

En hoewel een plug-in hybride aandrijflijn minder brandstof verbruikt als hij regelmatig wordt opgeladen, heeft niet elke koper toegang tot oplaadpunten of is hij bereid om de auto regelmatig aan te sluiten. De grotere accu van een PHEV zorgt bovendien voor extra gewicht en hogere kosten.<\/p>\n

Andere autofabrikanten brachten doorgaans eerst een full-hybride op de markt voordat ze een plug-in-hybride introduceerden. Maar binnen de Volkswagen-groep, waarvan \u0160koda deel uitmaakt, was dit tot nu toe een zeldzaam verschijnsel. De VW Golf en de T-Roc hebben deze aandrijflijn ge\u00efntroduceerd.<\/p>\n

Het toevoegen van een hybride aandrijflijn aan de Octavia kan worden gezien als een manier om de wereldwijde CO\u2082-uitstoot verder te verminderen2<\/sub> uitstoot van het merk en van de VW-groep in het algemeen.
