Een Nederlandse automobilist kreeg zelfs een rekening van meer dan 400 euro voor \u00e9\u00e9n enkele laadbeurt in Parijs.<\/p>\n<p>Uit nieuwe cijfers van de Nederlandse automobielorganisatie ANWB blijkt dat de Europese laadinfrastructuur steeds beter geschikt is voor langeafstandsreizen. Verborgen kosten, onduidelijke tarieven en incompatibele betalingssystemen blijven de gebruikerservaring echter ondermijnen.<\/p>\n<h4>Oostenrijk en Itali\u00eb lopen voorop wat betreft de groei<\/h4>\n<p>De ANWB heeft de laadactiviteiten van meer dan 600.000 laadkaarten geanalyseerd. In de zomer van 2026 werden deze kaarten gebruikt voor meer dan 4,8 miljoen laadbeurten.<\/p>\n<p>Duitsland, Frankrijk en Belgi\u00eb blijven de populairste buitenlandse oplaadbestemmingen onder Nederlandse EV-bestuurders. De sterkste groei doet zich echter verder naar het zuiden voor. In twee jaar tijd is het aantal bestuurders dat met een ANWB-kaart in Itali\u00eb oplaadt met 185% gestegen, terwijl Oostenrijk een indrukwekkende stijging van 231% liet zien.<\/p>\n<p>Zelfs verder weg gelegen bestemmingen, waaronder Portugal en Noord-Macedoni\u00eb, duiken steeds vaker op in de laadgegevens. Hoewel de cijfers deels het groeiende aantal elektrische voertuigen op de Nederlandse wegen weerspiegelen, laten ze ook zien dat elektrische reizen over lange afstanden steeds gebruikelijker worden.<\/p>\n<h4>Een verrassing van 400 euro bij het opladen<\/h4>\n<p>Volgens de ANWB worden de oplaadprijzen in veel Europese landen steeds transparanter. In Zwitserland is het aandeel van oplaadsessies die meer dan \u20ac 1 per kWh kosten, gedaald van 25% in 2024 naar 9% deze zomer. Oostenrijk noteerde een daling van 16% naar 9%.<\/p>\n<p>Opmerkelijk genoeg is snel opladen tegenwoordig in landen als Duitsland, Frankrijk en Oostenrijk vaak goedkoper dan langzamer opladen via wisselstroom, wat de traditionele aanname dat sneller opladen per definitie duurder is, op losse schroeven zet.<\/p>\n<p>Maar verborgen kosten blijven een probleem. In Parijs kreeg een automobilist een rekening van meer dan 400 euro nadat hij zijn elektrische auto drie dagen lang had laten staan. Het grootste deel van dat bedrag bestond uit parkeerkosten in plaats van elektriciteitskosten.<\/p>\n<p>De ANWB heeft op dezelfde locatie verschillende soortgelijke gevallen geregistreerd. Hoewel buitensporig hoge rekeningen steeds minder vaak voorkomen, blijven parkeer- en verblijfsheffingen vooral in Frankrijk, Itali\u00eb en Polen een probleem vormen.<\/p>\n<h4>Albani\u00eb illustreert de uitdagingen die nog resteren<\/h4>\n<p>NewMobility.News stuitte tijdens zijn recente testrit met een elektrische auto op een andere kant van het probleem <a href=\"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/nl\/2026\/10\/07\/ev-road-trip-to-albania-was-it-really-cheaper-than-gasoline-part-3\/\">roadtrip naar Albani\u00eb en Griekenland<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Onze Kia EV6 legde in drie weken 4.157 kilometer af, met een gemiddeld verbruik van slechts 14,4 kWh\/100 km. Zelfs in Albani\u00eb, waar de openbare laadinfrastructuur minder goed ontwikkeld is dan in West-Europa, was het vinden van een laadpunt niet per se de grootste uitdaging.<\/p>\n<p>Een snellader van 120 kW in Gjirokast\u00ebr toonde aan dat moderne laadinfrastructuur ook bestemmingen bereikt die ver buiten de gevestigde EV-markten van Europa liggen.<\/p>\n<p>Internationale betaalkaarten werkten echter niet altijd zoals verwacht, en de betalingsinstructies waren soms onduidelijk. Een laadstation dat bestuurders uitnodigde om een kaart door de lezer te halen of een code te scannen, accepteerde niet noodzakelijkerwijs een gewone bankkaart.<\/p>\n<p>Voor reizigers is het feit dat er een oplaadpunt is nog maar het halve verhaal. Het is net zo belangrijk om te weten of hun betaalmethode wordt geaccepteerd en wat de uiteindelijke rekening zal bedragen.<\/p>\n<h4>Brussel staat voor een nieuwe uitdaging<\/h4>\n<p>Volgens de milieuorganisatie Transport &amp; Environment (T&amp;E) zou de EU tegen eind 2025 1,1 miljoen openbare oplaadpunten hebben bereikt. De organisatie stelt dat de aandacht nu moet verschuiven van het aantal oplaadpunten naar de kwaliteit en de betaalbaarheid van het opladen.<\/p>\n<p>In een recente beleidsnota pleitte T&amp;E voor gestandaardiseerde tarieven, duidelijke informatie over extra kosten en de mogelijkheid om bij elk openbaar oplaadpunt met een gewone bankkaart te betalen.<\/p>\n<p>De Europese verordening inzake infrastructuur voor alternatieve brandstoffen (AFIR) biedt al een oplossing voor een aantal van deze kwesties. Nieuwe openbare laadpunten met een vermogen van 50 kW of meer moeten de actuele elektriciteitsprijs en eventuele parkeerkosten vermelden.<\/p>\n<p>Stand-bykosten blijven echter toegestaan, en verschillende betaalkaarten kunnen bij hetzelfde tankstation nog steeds verschillende rekeningen opleveren. Consumentenorganisaties pleiten daarom voor strengere regels nu Brussel zich opmaakt om de wetgeving te herzien.<\/p>\n<p>Voor bestuurders van elektrische auto\u2019s ligt de volgende doorbraak misschien niet in een extra bereik van honderd kilometer, maar in de mogelijkheid om overal in Europa de stekker in het stopcontact te steken, met een gewone bankkaart te betalen en precies te weten wat het gaat kosten.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>European electric car drivers are venturing further afield than ever, with Austria and Italy recording spectacular growth in holiday charging sessions.
