VW heeft zijn nieuwe elektrische ID. Tiguan onthuld, die begin 2027 de ID.4 zal vervangen. Het meer herkenbare model moet een bredere groep klanten aanspreken in een van de belangrijkste voertuigsegmenten.<\/p>\n

Het nieuwe model moet ook de slechte herinneringen aan enkele van de minder gewaardeerde keuzes die VW voor de ID.4 heeft gemaakt, uitwissen, hoewel dat model uiteindelijk toch behoorlijk populair bleek te zijn.<\/p>\n

Met de Tiguan is Volkswagen duidelijk teruggekeerd naar een meer conventionele uitstraling dan het ontwerp van de ID-modellen van de eerste generatie. Dit bevestigt de koerswijziging die het merk al had ingezet met de ID. Polo en de ID. Cross, waarbij op een elektrisch platform meer herkenbare uiterlijke kenmerken en namen worden aangeboden.<\/p>\n

De ID. Tiguan vervangt de ID.4 en zal in het VW-assortiment naast de \u2018conventionele\u2019 Tiguan worden aangeboden. Hij zal uitsluitend als SUV verkrijgbaar zijn. De ID.5 SUV-coup\u00e9 wordt uit het assortiment gehaald en niet vervangen.<\/p>\n

Correctie<\/b><\/h4>\n

Met de ID. Tiguan wil VW ook laten zien dat het gehoor heeft gegeven aan de kritiek van klanten op een aantal keuzes die het bij de ID.4 had gemaakt. Naast het ontwerp is ook het interieur volledig herzien. De aanraakgevoelige knoppen en de materialen die niet per se een gevoel van kwaliteit uitstraalden, zijn verdwenen.<\/p>\n

Ook de digitale aanpak van de eerste ID.-modellen van VW kreeg kritiek, dus belooft het merk nu een consistente logica en een opzet die werkt zoals bedoeld.<\/p>\n

De ID. De Tiguan krijgt een 10-inch digitaal instrumentenpaneel, een 15-inch infotainmentdisplay en, voor het eerst in Europa, de optie van een 12-inch display voor de voorpassagier. Dit display is voorzien van een filter zodat het niet zichtbaar is voor de bestuurder, en kan de passagier vermaken tijdens lange ritten.<\/p>\n

De ID. De Tiguan beschikt bovendien over een aantal technologie\u00ebn die in de ID.4 ontbreken, zoals One-Pedal Driving, Vehicle-to-Load en Vehicle-to-Home\/Grid-functies. De nieuwe Connected Travel Assist is een verbeterde versie van de Adaptive Cruise Control met rijstrookwisselfunctie en verkeerslichtherkenning.<\/p>\n

Technische gegevens<\/b><\/h4>\n

De ID. Tiguan zal verkrijgbaar zijn met twee verschillende accu\u2019s. De eerste is een accu van 58 kWh LFP-module, die een betaalbare en duurzame oplossing biedt\u00a0<\/a>basisuitvoering. De tweede is een NMC-accu van 77 kWh, die betere prestaties en een actieradius tot 605 km biedt.<\/p>\n

De ID. Tiguan zal vanaf het begin verkrijgbaar zijn met een vermogen van 140 kW, 210 kW of 220 kW (met 4Motion-vierwielaandrijving). Later volgt een versie met meer dan 400 pk.<\/p>\n

De gelijkstroomlaadcapaciteit blijft vrij beperkt in vergelijking met sommige concurrenten, met maximale waarden van 10 en 165 kW. De laadtijd van de 10-80% varieert van 26 tot 29 minuten.<\/p>\n

De ID. Tiguan is een vijfzitter met een bagageruimte van 534 liter. Een leuke extra is een frunk van 32 liter, ideaal voor het opbergen van de oplaadkabels. Het model heeft in eerste instantie een trekvermogen van maximaal 2 ton, maar latere versies zullen 2,2 ton kunnen trekken.<\/p>\n

Cruciale rol<\/b><\/h4>\n

De nieuwe aanpak van VW op het gebied van elektrische modellen is van cruciaal belang voor een merk dat moeite heeft om winstgevend te blijven. En de ID. Tiguan zal daarin een grote rol spelen.<\/p>\n

Het segment waarin het model zal concurreren, is van groot belang. De Tiguan is altijd populair geweest: sinds de introductie zijn er meer dan 8,3 miljoen exemplaren van verkocht, waarmee het de bestseller van de groep is. De ID. 4 haalde in een kortere periode een totaal van 950.000 exemplaren (inclusief de ID.5).<\/p>\n

In Belgi\u00eb is de ID.4 al behoorlijk populair. Aangezien de registraties van bedrijfswagens het elektrische segment domineren, kozen veel wagenparkklanten voor de ID.4. In 2025 werden in totaal 5.380 ID.4's geregistreerd, waardoor het model een plaats veroverde in de Belgische top 20 van de totale autoverkoop, niet alleen onder de elektrische modellen.<\/p>\n

Hoewel kleine en betaalbare modellen van cruciaal belang zijn voor de acceptatie van elektrische auto\u2019s door particuliere kopers, zijn overtuigende SUV\u2019s uit het middensegment essentieel om nog meer belangstelling te wekken op de wagenparkmarkt. Een herkenbaar model zou ook de belangstelling op de tweedehandsmarkt kunnen wekken, waardoor de restwaarden stijgen en de maandelijkse kosten voor de wagenparkmarkt laag blijven.<\/p>\n

De prijzen voor Belgi\u00eb zijn nog niet bekendgemaakt, maar op de Nederlandse markt zal de auto vanaf \u20ac 40.990 kosten. De marktintroductie staat gepland voor begin 2027, waardoor de ID.
