Vanaf 15 oktober zal de organisatie verschillende bewustmakingscampagnes lanceren.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Brussels Mobility constateert al enkele jaren dat het aantal ongevallen met voetgangers tijdens de avondspits (tussen 17.00 en 19.00 uur) meer dan verdubbelt na de omschakeling naar de wintertijd. Ook het aantal gewonden onder fietsers en gebruikers van elektrische steps neemt in deze periode toe.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>\u2018Campagne \u2019Be Bright\u2019<\/h4>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">De organisatie blijft mensen aanmoedigen om het hele jaar door te blijven wandelen en fietsen, maar dringt er tegelijkertijd op aan dat ze extra voorzichtig zijn nu de dagen korter worden.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Om die reden lanceert Brussels Mobility vandaag, 15 oktober, een nieuwe editie van de \u2018Be Bright\u2019-campagne, gericht op scholen die deelnemen aan schoolvervoersplannen. <\/span><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Dit jaar nemen 65 scholen deel aan het initiatief; 5.347 leerlingen en medewerkers zullen vandaag op de fiets naar school gaan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Op elke deelnemende school werden het personeel en de leerlingen vanochtend verwelkomd met een ontbijt. Ze kregen ook spullen om in het verkeer beter zichtbaar te zijn, zoals spaakreflectoren en fietsverlichting.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>\u2018Campagne \u2019XP Visibility\u2019<\/h4>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Van 16 tot en met 20 november organiseert Brussels Mobility opnieuw de campagne \u2018XP Visibility\u2019, een interactieve, praktische belevingsactiviteit waarbij leerlingen uit het 5e en 6e leerjaar zelf aan de slag gaan met licht en duisternis, en met zien en gezien worden.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Brussels Mobility herinnert automobilisten ook aan enkele basisregels, zoals hun snelheid aanpassen om op onverwachte situaties te kunnen anticiperen en extra oplettend te zijn op kruispunten en zebrapaden.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As days grow shorter and winter approaches, the regional public service Brussels Mobility urges drivers to make children and young people more visible on the road.
