Het hoofdkantoor van het in Brussel gevestigde transportconcern Ziegler, gelegen aan het kanaal in Neder-Over-Heembeek, staat te koop voor 10,9 miljoen euro. Ziegler was geen eigenaar van het gebouw; het huurde het via verschillende banken, die besloten het te verkopen.<\/p>\n

Op 31 maart heeft de handelsrechtbank van Lille de liquidatie van de Franse activiteiten van het bedrijf gelast, wat gevolgen heeft voor de Ziegler Frankrijk<\/a> de vestiging en haar dochteronderneming Satra. Hierdoor raakten ongeveer 1.500 mensen hun baan kwijt.<\/p>\n

In juni heeft Ziegler Belgium faillissement aangevraagd, waardoor nog eens 400 banen op de tocht staan. De vestiging in Brussel, met 2.600 m\u00b2 kantoorruimte verdeeld over vier verdiepingen en een magazijn van 6.500 m\u00b2 met laad- en losperrons, staat nu te koop. De Haven van Brussel wil er opnieuw een logistiek project van maken dat aan de haven is gekoppeld.<\/p>\n

Overnames<\/h4>\n

De Handelsrechtbank van Brussel heeft de faillietverklaring uitgesproken voor de Belgische Ziegler-groep, opgericht in 1908, die uit vier bedrijven bestond: Ziegler SA, Intertrans, Dornach en Universal Express.<\/p>\n

Ondertussen heeft het in Wondelgem gevestigde transportbedrijf Tranuniverse Forwarding echter het grootste deel van de activiteiten van Ziegler Belgium overgenomen, waardoor tientallen werknemers hun baan hebben kunnen behouden. Het gaat daarbij om zeven vestigingen in Aalst, Antwerpen, Brussels Expo, Kontich, Rekkem (LAR), Welkenraedt en Zeebrugge.<\/p>\n

Van Moer Logistics heeft op zijn beurt de luchtvrachtdivisie van Ziegler overgenomen bij Brucargo, de vrachtterminal op Brussels Airport.<\/p>\n

\u2018Uitzonderlijke logistieke locatie\u2019<\/h4>\n

Het hoofdkantoor van de in Brussel gevestigde transport- en logistiekgroep, waar Ziegler sinds 2019 werkzaam was, maakte echter geen deel uit van het faillissement. Het bedrijf huurde het pand via banken, die nu hebben besloten het te verkopen.<\/p>\n

Het leegstaande gebouw, dat momenteel door Entrakt wordt beheerd, staat op een terrein dat eigendom is van de Haven van Brussel. De Haven promoot het terrein als een \u201cuitzonderlijke logistieke locatie\u201d met een oppervlakte van 9.311 m\u00b2 op een toplocatie binnen het belangrijkste logistieke knooppunt van het Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest.<\/p>\n

Naast kantoorruimte met een groot panoramaterras beschikt het gebouw, dat op het dak is voorzien van zonnepanelen, over een 10 meter hoge opslagruimte, vier laadperrons, een werkplaats met een losperron en 250 ondergrondse parkeerplaatsen.<\/p>\n

Wie het gebouw wil kopen, moet 10,9 miljoen euro betalen. Daarnaast moet de koper een jaarlijkse concessievergoeding aan het Havenbedrijf betalen.<\/p>\n

Volgens Gert Van der Eeken, directeur van de haven, is het niet eenvoudig om ge\u00efnteresseerde kandidaten te vinden. \u201cHet is de bedoeling dat het weer een logistiek- en havengerelateerd project wordt,\u201d vertelde Van der Eeken aan BRUZZ. \u201cLogistieke bedrijven hebben echter meestal niet zoveel kantoorruimte nodig.\u201d<\/p>\n

Verdachte geldstromen<\/h4>\n

Ziegler had wereldwijd meer dan 3.200 medewerkers in 16 landen. Zo zijn de vestigingen in Nederland, Duitsland en Zwitserland niet failliet gegaan, maar ondergebracht in een management buy-out-constructie met een Britse eigenaar, Eaglets Holding.<\/p>\n

Eaglets Holding had eerder dit jaar al de voormalige activiteiten van Ziegler in het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Ierland overgenomen, evenals die in Zuid-Afrika.<\/p>\n

Volgens het zakendagblad L\u2019Echo bereidt een Franse advocaat, die voormalige werknemers van Ziegler France vertegenwoordigt, zich ook voor om een klacht in te dienen bij het openbaar ministerie wegens verdachte geldstromen tussen dochterondernemingen en het feit dat het bedrijf niet tijdig is geherstructureerd.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
