BYD bereidt de lancering voor van de volgende generatie Tang, een elektrische SUV met vijf zitplaatsen en de opvolger van het model dat momenteel in Belgi\u00eb wordt aangeboden. Of het nieuwe model ook in het Europese assortiment zal worden opgenomen, is op dit moment nog niet bevestigd.<\/p>\n

De Tang SUV was de allereerste auto die BYD naar Europa bracht; de verkoop ging al in 2021 van start in Noorwegen, het land van de elektrische auto\u2019s. Samen met de Han en de Atto 3 was het ook het model waarmee het Chinese merk de rest van het continent veroverde, waaronder Belgi\u00eb, toen Toyota-importeur Inchcape het aan zijn portfolio toevoegde.<\/p>\n

Sindsdien is er veel veranderd. Er zijn nu veel meer BYD-modellen verkrijgbaar en er heeft een verschuiving plaatsgevonden van puur elektrische modellen naar ook plug-in-hybriden. Het merk overweegt zelfs om modellen in Europa te gaan produceren.<\/p>\n

Specifiek voor de Belgische markt heeft BYD besloten om zelf auto\u2019s te gaan importeren en daarmee in 2027 de taken van Inchcape over te nemen. Of dit invloed zal hebben op de keuzes die het merk maakt met betrekking tot het modellengamma, valt nog te bezien. Hetzelfde geldt voor de nieuwe Tang: zal BYD deze naar Europa brengen ter vervanging van de huidige generatie?<\/p>\n

Tang van de derde generatie<\/b><\/h4>\n

E<\/span>a<\/span>Eerder dit jaar heeft BYD officieel de Grote Tang<\/a>. <\/span>Dit was niet de opvolger van de Tang zoals wij die kennen, maar veeleer een topmodel dat exclusief voor de Chinese markt was bestemd. <\/span>En dan is er nog de Tang L, <\/span>die in Europa op de markt komt als de Atto 8<\/span><\/a>, niet als opvolger van de Tang-dynastie.<\/span><\/p>\n

De Tang die nu op de markt komt, de derde generatie van het model, is echter de directe opvolger van de Tang die in Europa wordt geleverd. Het is op dit moment echter nog onbekend of hij de Tang daadwerkelijk zal vervangen in het Europese assortiment van BYD.<\/p>\n

De auto werd officieel onthuld op de Chengdu Motor Show, en er komt nu meer informatie naar voren uit de database van het Chinese Ministerie van Industrie en Informatietechnologie (MIIT). Het indienen van deze informatie bij het MIIT is een verplichting waaraan merken moeten voldoen als onderdeel van het typegoedkeuringsproces voor auto\u2019s in China.<\/p>\n

De nieuwe generatie Tang heeft een lengte van 5.045 mm, een breedte van 1.980 mm en een hoogte van 1.740 mm. Dit betekent dat hij 145 mm langer is dan het huidige model, hoewel het strikt genomen een vijfzitter is. In tegenstelling tot de huidige Tang die in Europa wordt geleverd en de grotere Da Tang (Great Tang), beschikt hij niet over een derde zitrij.<\/p>\n

Technische specificaties<\/b><\/h4>\n

Hoewel eerder al een versie met \u00e9\u00e9n motor en achterwielaandrijving van 300 kW was bevestigd, bevat de nieuwe MIIT-aanvraag ook technische specificaties voor de versie met vierwielaandrijving.<\/p>\n

Hij heeft een gecombineerd piekvermogen van 515 kW (700 hp), dankzij een voormotor van 215 kW (75 kW continu) en een achtermotor van 300 kW (150 kW continu). In de aanvraag worden geen prestatiecijfers genoemd, behalve een topsnelheid van 250 km\/h.<\/p>\n

De Tang zal gebruikmaken van LFP-accu\u2019s. De vermelde accucapaciteit bedraagt 88,68 kWh en 105,79 kWh, met een CLTC-actieradius tussen 730 en 850 km. Het model zal ook beschikken over de Flash Charging-technologie<\/a> voor oplaadbeurten van 5 minuten.<\/p>\n

Bij de lancering zal de nieuwe Tang waarschijnlijk een hightech SUV zijn. Er zijn berichten over een intelligente luchtvering, LiDAR-technologie, camera\u2019s voor autonoom rijden, elektrische opstaptreden, enzovoort. Op de foto\u2019s van het interieur van de Tang is te zien dat een 30-inch touchscreen het grootste deel van het dashboard in beslag neemt.<\/p>\n
