De Het Belgische postbedrijf Bpost versnelt de elektrificatie van zijn bezorgvloot. <\/span>Tegen het einde In oktober zal Bpost 4.165 elektrische bestelwagens op de weg hebben, wat neerkomt op 42% van zijn wagenpark voor bezorgingen en vier keer zoveel als het aantal dat het had<\/span>\u00a0drie jaar geleden.<\/span><\/p>\n

Het aankooptempo komt neer op een toename van ongeveer 1.000 elektrische bestelwagens per jaar.<\/p>\n

Alleen al dit jaar heeft Bpost 1.100 nieuwe elektrische bestelwagens aan het wagenpark toegevoegd, <\/span>waarvan er al bijna 900 in gebruik zijn. <\/span>Bpost zal de resterende voertuigen in de komende weken leveren, ter vervanging van de uit dienst genomen voertuigen met verbrandingsmotor. <\/span>Veel van de voertuigen zijn afkomstig van Stellantis (Citro\u00ebn).<\/p>\n

De nieuwe bestelwagens zijn bovendien de eerste waarop het nieuwe Bpost-logo te zien is. Bpost zal de nieuwe huisstijl in 2027 officieel invoeren.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bpost heeft zijn elektrische wagenpark stelselmatig uitgebreid. In 2023 beschikte Bpost over ongeveer 1.000 elektrische bestelwagens; in juni 2024 was dat aantal gestegen tot meer dan 2.000, en naar verwachting zal het in het najaar van 2025 3.146 bedragen. Tegen eind oktober 2026 zal het totaal op 4.165 liggen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Deze nieuwste uitbreiding vindt plaats tijdens een van de drukste periodes van het jaar: in november en december bezorgt het bedrijf dagelijks meer dan 800.000 pakketten in Belgi\u00eb \u2013 op 2 december 2025 bezorgde Bpost een recordaantal van 829.000 pakketten.<\/span><\/p>\n

85%: emissievrij tegen 2030<\/h4>\n

Op dit moment worden 150 steden en gemeenten (150 postcodes, om precies te zijn) bediend via emissievrije postbezorgroutes. Bpost streeft ernaar om ervoor te zorgen dat tegen 2030 85% van zijn wagenpark voor de \u2018last mile\u2019 bestaat uit CO\u2082-emissievrije voertuigen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Deze ambitie sluit aan bij de doelstellingen van Bpost \u2013 Bpost is de groep waartoe Bpost behoort \u2013<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>om de uitstoot van broeikasgassen te verminderen.<\/span><\/p>\n

De elektrificatie blijft echter niet beperkt tot bestelwagens. Bpost zet ook steeds vaker elektrische fietsen, e-aanhangwagens, elektrische vrachtwagens en dubbeldeksaanhangwagens in, afhankelijk van de behoeften van zijn verschillende logistieke activiteiten. <\/span><\/p>\n

Het bedrijf richt zich ook op\u00a0<\/span>het verder uitbreiden van zijn laadinfrastructuur en het verkrijgen van de benodigde vergunningen. <\/span>Op dit moment beschikt het bedrijf over\u00a0<\/span>3.300 oplaadpunten bij vestigingen van Bpost in Belgi\u00eb, 4.165 elektrische bestelwagens,\u00a0<\/span>3.013 elektrische fietsen,\u00a0<\/span>556 eTrailers,\u00a0<\/span>2 elektrische vrachtwagens, en <\/span>55 dubbeldeks opleggers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hoe zit het met de buurlanden?<\/h4>\n

Ook in Nederland en Frankrijk vordert de elektrificatie van de postbezorging gestaag. Toch moet een vergelijking met bpost enigszins worden genuanceerd: het aandeel elektrische bestelwagens is niet hetzelfde als het aandeel volledig emissievrije bezorgingen. Tot dat laatste vallen namelijk ook bezorgingen per fiets, bakfiets of te voet.<\/span><\/p>\n

In het voorjaar van 2026 heeft PostNL zijn 2.000ste elektrische bestelwagen in gebruik genomen. Volgens het bedrijf betekent dit dat 2.000 van de ongeveer 4.500 dagelijkse bezorgritten nu elektrisch worden afgelegd.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2025,\u00a033% van de laatste etappe van de post- en pakketbezorging in Nederland was emissievrij, tegenover 28% in 2024. Hieronder vallen ook bezorgingen per fiets of te voet. <\/span><\/p>\n

Een belangrijk verschil is dat het Nederlandse postbezorgsysteem al in grote mate gebruikmaakt van fietsen en voetgangers. De elektrificatie van bestelbusjes is vooral van belang op routes waar nog steeds een gemotoriseerd voertuig nodig is.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Frankrijk bestond 58% van het totale wagenpark van La Poste uit elektrische voertuigen, bijna 39.000 stuks. Dat cijfer omvat meer dan alleen bestelwagens. <\/span>La Poste streeft ernaar om tegen 2035 te beschikken over een volledig elektrisch wagenpark voor het eerste en laatste stuk van haar post- en pakketvervoer.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
