www.vlaanderen.be\/vergelijke<\/a>r. Ze kunnen er dan voor kiezen om de oude berekening te behouden of voor de nieuwe te kiezen als die voordeliger is.<\/p>\n82% zal onder het nieuwe systeem minder betalen<\/h4>\n
De hervorming van de Vlaamse motorrijtuigenbelasting hangt samen met de invoering van een wegenvignet. De belastinghervorming treedt op 1 januari in werking en het wegenvignet op 1 mei. De belastinghervorming geldt alleen voor personenauto's, voertuigen voor gemengd gebruik en minibussen. Motorfietsen, voorrangsvoertuigen en vrachtwagens waarvoor de kilometerheffing geldt, zijn van het systeem uitgesloten.<\/p>\n
Volgens de Vlaamse minister van Financi\u00ebn Ben Weyts (N-VA) zullen de hervormde motorrijtuigenbelasting \u2013 het vorige belastingstelsel was complex en verouderd, mede omdat het gebaseerd was op fiscaal vermogen \u2013 en het wegenvignet elkaar per saldo in evenwicht houden. Toch zullen er afzonderlijk gezien winnaars en verliezers zijn.<\/p>\n
Volgens Weyts zal ongeveer de helft van de autobezitters uiteindelijk minder of ongeveer evenveel moeten betalen. Als we uitsluitend naar de wegenbelasting kijken, zal 82% onder het nieuwe systeem minder betalen. Voor de eigenaar van een Citro\u00ebn C3 zou dit bijvoorbeeld neerkomen op een besparing van \u20ac 11,56 per jaar.<\/p>\n
Elektrische auto\u2019s die v\u00f3\u00f3r 1 januari 2026 zijn geregistreerd, zijn vrijgesteld van wegenbelasting. Na die datum geldt een tarief van \u20ac 107,16. Eigenaren van lichte vrachtwagens en leaseauto\u2019s hoeven evenmin een keuze te maken. Het forfaitaire tarief voor oldtimers zou dalen van \u20ac 109,73 naar \u20ac 67,01 (ongeveer 30% lager).<\/p>\n
Over het algemeen zullen eigenaren van zwaardere auto\u2019s, waaronder SUV\u2019s en sportwagens, meer moeten betalen, juist omdat de nieuwe formule meer nadruk legt op het gewicht en de uitstoot van een auto.<\/p>\n
Wordt niet automatisch ge\u00efmplementeerd<\/h4>\n
De Vlaamse regering zal de hervorming echter niet automatisch doorvoeren of het lagere tarief toepassen. Autobezitters moeten op de website van de regering, www.vlaanderen.be\/vergelijker, nagaan of de nieuwe motorrijtuigenbelasting voor hen voordeliger is. Nadat u bent ingelogd, vult u uw kenteken en de datum van inschrijving in.<\/p>\n
Vervolgens kun je met slechts een paar muisklikken aangeven dat je wilt overstappen naar het nieuwe systeem. Wie niets doet, blijft dus in het oude systeem, ook al is het nieuwe goedkoper.<\/p>\n
\u201cEr zijn rechtszaken tegen de wegenvignet te verwachten\u201d<\/h4>\n
Er is een wettelijke reden waarom Vlaamse inwoners de website van de Vlaamse Belastingdienst moeten bezoeken om te kiezen of ze willen overstappen naar het nieuwe systeem, aldus Wets.<\/p>\n
De Europese regelgeving staat immers niet toe dat de lokale bevolking bij de invoering van een wegenvignet automatisch \u00e9\u00e9n-op-\u00e9\u00e9n wordt gecompenseerd via de motorrijtuigenbelasting, ook al dragen buitenlanders eveneens bij aan de financiering van de wegeninfrastructuur.<\/p>\n
\u201cDuitsland heeft het voortouw genomen en automatische compensatie toegekend. Dat is twee keer vernietigd\u201d, zegt Weyts. \u201cWe hebben op Europees niveau contact gehad en zijn aan het peilen hoever we kunnen gaan.\u201d Volgens de minister zijn rechtszaken tegen de wegenvignet te verwachten. \u201cWe moeten daarop voorbereid zijn.\u201d<\/p>\n
Een vignet kost \u20ac 90 of \u20ac 100<\/h4>\n
De Vlaamse regering zal de burgers via een bericht in hun e-box op de hoogte brengen van de wijzigingen, en deze zullen ook op de wegenbelastingaanslag worden vermeld.<\/p>\n
Ook de tarieven voor de wegenvignet zijn bekendgemaakt. Deze vari\u00ebren afhankelijk van de uitstoot van het voertuig en de gekozen geldigheidsduur. Voor een auto die voldoet aan de Euro 4-norm of hoger, kost een vignet voor \u00e9\u00e9n jaar \u20ac 100. Voor een emissievrije auto bedragen de kosten \u20ac 90 per jaar. Voor Euro 0 tot en met 3 kost het vignet \u20ac 125 per jaar.<\/p>\n
Iedereen die vanaf 1 mei 2027 op de Belgische wegen met een personenauto met een gewicht tot 3,5 ton rijdt, is verplicht om dat vignet te betalen. Wie zonder vignet wordt betrapt, moet bij een eerste overtreding \u20ac 70 betalen. Bij een tweede overtreding verdubbelt dat bedrag tot \u20ac 140. Recidivisten betalen vanaf de derde overtreding telkens \u20ac 210.<\/p>\n
De vignetverplichting, die geldt op snelwegen en bepaalde regionale wegen en die ook door Brussel en Walloni\u00eb wordt ingevoerd, zal automatisch worden gecontroleerd via het netwerk van slimme ANPR-camera\u2019s die op de Belgische wegen zijn ge\u00efnstalleerd, en door mobiele teams.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
