Om de grote druk op de examencentra in de Vlaamse Periferie te verlichten \u2013 die wordt veroorzaakt door het grote aantal kandidaten uit Brussel en Walloni\u00eb dat daar examen aflegt \u2013 zullen inwoners van Brussel en Walloni\u00eb die hun theorie-examen in het Frans hebben afgelegd, vanaf 1 januari hun praktijkexamen niet langer in Vlaanderen kunnen afleggen.<\/p>\n

Vlaanderen volgt het voorbeeld van Brussel en Walloni\u00eb, waar sinds respectievelijk 2018 en 2024 soortgelijke regelingen van kracht zijn. De maatregel is ook bedoeld om te helpen fraude voorkomen<\/a> en strategisch \u201cshoppen\u201d tussen de verschillende examen- en onderwijssystemen.<\/p>\n

Druk op examencentra<\/h4>\n

Wie in Brussel zijn rijbewijsexamen wil afleggen, moet vaak maandenlang wachten. Daardoor wenden kandidaten zich steeds vaker tot de Vlaamse Periferie, vooral sinds Walloni\u00eb de toegang tot examencentra heeft aangescherpt.<\/p>\n

Dit heeft echter ook geleid tot aanzienlijke druk op de examencentra, met name in de Vlaamse Periferie, als gevolg van de toestroom van veel kandidaten uit Brussel en Walloni\u00eb.<\/p>\n

Nu worden de regels dus ook in Vlaanderen aangescherpt: vanaf januari kun je in Vlaanderen pas het praktijkexamen afleggen als je daar ook al geslaagd bent voor het theorie-examen. De maatregel is vrijdag definitief goedgekeurd, aldus de Vlaamse minister van Mobiliteit Annick De Ridder (N-VA).<\/p>\n

Toekomstige bestuurders blijven vrij om te kiezen in welke regio ze hun rijbewijs willen halen, maar ze moeten zowel het theorie- als het praktijkexamen in dezelfde regio afleggen.<\/p>\n

Slechts 2 examencentra in Brussel<\/h4>\n

Brussel heeft slechts 2 examencentra: \u00e9\u00e9n in Anderlecht en \u00e9\u00e9n in Schaarbeek. Vlaanderen telt 16 examencentra en Walloni\u00eb 14.<\/p>\n

Brussels Mobility laat weten dat het manieren onderzoekt om de lange wachttijden aan te pakken, onder meer door extra examinatoren te certificeren en een grondige hervorming van de examencentra door te voeren.<\/p>\n
