BMW Motorrad investeert in de e-mobiliteitsstartup Venna, die gespecialiseerd is in krachtige elektrische motorfietsen. De samenwerking biedt nieuwe kansen op de groeiende markt voor elektrische offroad-motorfietsen en geeft BMW Motorrad toegang tot nieuwe doelgroepen.<\/p>\n

Venna?<\/h4>\n

Dit Sloveense bedrijf, voorheen bekend als Flux Performance, heet nu Venna. Het kiest voor ongebruikelijke technische oplossingen. Een motor van 85 hp die tot 14.500 rpm draait, een tweetrapsversnellingsbak, een virtuele koppeling en een uitneembare accu van 7,92 kWh: dat is de Primo. Het is een ambitieus project, misschien een beetje te ingewikkeld, en men vroeg zich af hoe goed al die technologie zou werken zodra de motorfiets het terrein op zou gaan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Flux beschreef de Primo aanvankelijk als een prototype voor testdoeleinden. We weten nog niet waaraan Venna heeft gewerkt, noch in hoeverre het oorspronkelijke Flux-project zal worden overgenomen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Venna blijft onafhankelijk, maar de betrokkenheid van BMW Motorrad zou wel eens het verschil kunnen maken bij het in productie brengen van een motorfiets. Het bouwen van een prototype is \u00e9\u00e9n ding. Het betrouwbaar maken, de productie op orde brengen en het klaar maken voor de klanten is een heel andere uitdaging.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

En Venna is niet van plan het bij crossmotoren te laten. CEO Marko Ukota zegt dat het bedrijf hoogwaardige elektrische motorfietsen wil bouwen voor alle rijcategorie\u00ebn. Dat is een grote ambitie, en het wordt interessant om te zien wat daaruit voortkomt.<\/span><\/p>\n

En wat levert het BMW op? De elektrische tweewielers van BMW, waaronder de CE 02 en CE 04, zijn ontworpen voor gebruik in de stad. Een krachtige elektrische crossmotor brengt heel andere uitdagingen met zich mee. Vermogensafgifte, gewicht, koeling en duurzaamheid spelen allemaal een rol. In plaats van helemaal vanaf nul te beginnen, heeft BMW een bedrijf gesteund dat al aan die problemen werkt.<\/span><\/p>\n

BMW heeft nog niet bekendgemaakt hoeveel het heeft ge\u00efnvesteerd of welk aandeel het in Venna bezit. En hoewel de deal in de richting van elektrische offroad-voertuigen wijst, is er nog geen bevestigde crossmotor van het merk BMW, geen productiedatum en geen details over specifieke modellen die uit de samenwerking voortkomen.<\/span><\/p>\n
