Ford’s electric cross-over Mustang Mach-E is about to get a rally-inspired version unveiled in a camo suit at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Ford promises the freedom and fun of the regular model, with the possibility of venturing off-road, although no specifications have yet been revealed.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed has seen its fair share of sports car launches, with a lot of fun-focused electric models debuting at the show: the Porsche Vision 357 Speedster, the MG Cyberster and MG4 XPower, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, the Caterham Project V and now a new sporty derivative of the Ford Mustang Mach-E.

Raptor-like
The Blue Oval remains tight-lipped about the specifics of the Mustang Mach-E Rally, but its name and looks reveal what we can most likely expect from this special edition, even with the camouflage still on the bodywork.
The Mach-E Rally will most likely be based on the Mach-E GT, which features a 487 hp and 860 Nm dual-motor drivetrain, but with the addition of terrain-ready suspension and drive modes.
The body gets a roof spoiler, integrated spotlights, and unique bumper trims. You could see it as a more eco-friendly approach to Ford’s Raptor pickup trucks, which bucks the trend of sportier SUVs usually looking for more on-road performance.
The differences are less pronounced on board, although the front occupants get bucket seats with extra shoulder support. At the same time, the trim is made up of Alcantara, carbon fiber, and contrasting white elements.

On sale soon
The good news is that this is not a one-off project. Ford has promised that the Mustang Mach-E Rally will be available as a model variant in the US and Europe. It remains to be seen when and how much it will be sold, although the pictured prototype looks production-ready.
