Opel’s sporty GSE label is back, not only with the recently launched Mokka GSE, but also with a high-powered Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo. Both models were presented at the IAA Mobility in Munich, but the feisty Corsa will also be available for sim racing enthusiasts to drive.
After a first attempt with more powerful plug-in hybrid variants of the Corsa and Grandland, Opel is bringing the GSE badge into the electric era.
The first production model is the Mokka GSE, powered by the same 280-hp electric motor as the Abarth 600e and Peugeot E-208 GTi. Meanwhile, the Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo looks ahead at a future electric hot hatchback.

Mokka GSE in real life
Opel unveiled the Mokka GSE in July, which is available in both street and race-ready Rally variants. It is powered by a front-mounted 280 hp electric motor, propelling it from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. It also features a Torsen limited-slip differential to put the power down in the corners. The 54 kWh battery remains unchanged from the regular Mokka Electric.
Visually, the Opel Mokka GSE differentiates itself with specific bumpers, wheels, and flashy yellow accents. Inside, you get particular bucket seats and a flattened sports steering wheel. No word yet on pricing or a launch date, however.

Corsa Vision Gran Turismo can be driven virtually
Next to the Mokka GSE in Opel’s IAA Munich booth is the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo. It’s an extremely powerful hot hatchback, with two motors and a huge 800-hp power figure. That allows the city car on steroids to reach 100 km/h in 2 seconds flat, with a top speed of 320 km/h.
And the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo is not just a show car, meant to offer a glimpse of the next-generation Corsa. It is actually drivable… on the PlayStation. As with other Vision Gran Turismo concept cars, the Corsa GSE Vision GT is coming to the popular racing game Gran Turismo 7 in the fall.
