BMW has joined forces with long-established Italian bicycle manufacturer 3T to create three types of bikes for various use cases. Customers can choose from a gravel bike, road bike, or urban bike; each of which can also be ordered with an electric motor.
All models offer a unique combination of state-of-the-art technology and progressive design. They have a full-carbon-fiber frame, which can be ordered in six sizes.
The right BMW for gravel, road, and leisure
The electronic, wireless 12-speed gearing of the Rival AXS groupset from SRAM results in crisp, precise gear changes and an uncluttered cockpit. The clear and elegant design of the carbon fiber frames all come in a modern two-tone paint finish, the lower in a dark shade and the upper sections in a lighter tone.
The BMW Exploro Gravel will be at home on any gravel track, thanks to its 27,5-inch aluminum wheels, Pirelli Cinturato Gravel tires, carbon fiber seatpost, Selle Italia Model X Superflow saddle, and carbon fiber racing bike handlebars. The electric version has a discreetly integrated motor, which can power the bike over significant distances with the energy from its 350 kWh battery.
Carbon fiber and aluminum
Customers opting for the BMW Exploro Road will enjoy standout over asphalt surfaces. The 28-inch carbon fiber wheels, Panaracer GravelKing Slick tubeless-ready tires, an aero seatpost, Selle Italia saddle, and carbon fiber racing bike handlebars keep weight extremely low and open the door to higher speeds.
The BMW Exploro Urban is an agile bike for urban environments, with 27,5-inch aluminum wheels, flat handlebars, and a comfortable Brooks Cambium saddle. Its electric version also excels over longer distances courtesy of the efficient pedal assistance delivered by its Mahle X20 motor with a 350 kWh battery. Prices vary between €4 999 and €8 999.
