Porsche has revamped its four-door sports sedan’s appearance with a more expressive sporting look and is to offer four variants of the E-Hybrid powertrain, the most popular version. The new Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid, ready at market launch in April 2024, will boost power to 500 kW (680 hp) with a new 140 kW electric motor and revised four-liter V8 turbo engine.
Porsche debuted the Panamera at the 13th Shanghai International Automobile Show in April 2009 and now presents the third generation. Porsche claims for this new version, “more powerful drive systems, a modernized operating concept, and plenty of innovative technology”.
Higher comfort levels
“These include the new Porsche Active Ride suspension system, which combines a significantly higher level of comfort with the sporting driving characteristics for which Porsche is famous,” the carmaker says in the press release.
Dual-chamber two-valve air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and permanent all-wheel drive is standard. All-wheel steering is optional. Porsche’s active suspension system is available as an option on the new E-Hybrid models of the new Panamera.
Newly developed active shock absorbers with two-valve technology are connected to an electrically operated hydraulic pump. This keeps the body of the Panamera flat at all times, even during dynamic braking, steering, and acceleration maneuvers, and offers a smooth ride, absorbing bumps.

Externally, the Turbo E-Hybrid is characterized by a distinctive rear apron with painted diffuser panels and a unique front apron in body color. There are also chrome-plated tailpipes in dark bronze and optional centre-lock wheels.
Inside, the all-digital instrument cluster mimics analogy clocks behind the wheel and a large touch screen in the middle with all navigation, car, and entertainment settings.
For the passenger seat, there is an optional 10,9-inch screen that displays vehicle performance data on request. It also allows the operation of the infotainment system and supports video streaming while the car is in motion without the driver seeing it.

Porsche offers four E-Hybrid powertrains for the new Panamera, with the Turbo E-Hybrid the most powerfull. It sprints to 100 km/hour in 3,2 seconds and boasts a top speed of 315 km/hour. Battery capacity is now up to 25,9 kWh, giving the PHEV an all-electric range of 76 to 91 km.
Consumption in electric mode is 29,9 to 27,5 kWh/100 km; overall gasoline consumption is 1,7 to 1,2 l/100 km (WLTP). For that fuel-saving advantage of the Turbo E-Hybrid, count on paying at least €199 620 without options.
