New Mini Cooper EV will also have a sporty JCW version

The coming Mini Cooper SE electric 3-door model will also be available in the John Cooper Works trim to emphasize the brand’s racing history.

With 160 kW and 330 Newton meters of maximum torque, the more powerful Mini Cooper SE version can sprint from 0 to 100 kph in 6,7 seconds and offers a range of up to 402 kilometers (WLTP) thanks to a 54,2 kWh battery pack.

Potential customers can give this electric Mini a particularly sporty look as it can be ordered in John Cooper Works trim. With many details, the equipment variant emphasizes the brand’s motorsport genes, which were achieved through numerous racing successes, including three victories at the Monte Carlo Rally in the 1960s.

“The all-electric Mini Cooper SE in the new John Cooper Works Trim combines a passion for iconic design, legendary performance, and sustainable mobility. It is the epitome of efficiency and driving pleasure,” says Stefanie Wurst, Head of the Mini brand.

As standard, the Mini Cooper SE in JCW Trim includes diffusers at the front and rear. The radiator grille surround and logo are finished in high-gloss black. Visual highlights include the contrasting roof and the mirror caps in Chili Red.

The Mini LED headlights have individual light signatures. With the selected JCW signature, the front lights only show two horizontal stripes as daytime running lights and emphasize the minimalist design of the new Mini Cooper SE. The graphics of the matrix rear lights want to underline the width of the vehicle’s rear.

In the interior, the new, central, high-resolution OLED display bundles vehicle-related data and provides information on navigation, media, telephone, and climate settings. The Mini Experience Modes offer new possibilities for individualization.

These include the John Cooper Works-inspired Go-Kart Mode, which colors the display and interior lighting anthracite red. In addition to the unique sound, the optimized throttle response of the accelerator pedal in this mode enhances the sporty driving experience.

One can drive sporty and park comfortably. With 12 ultrasonic sensors and four surround cameras, Parking Assistant Plus simplifies parking and identifies free parking spaces.

The Explore Mode allows parking via smartphone without the driver having to sit in his car. This is a significant help when parking space is tight at the side, which is happening increasingly in public parking areas or garages.
