First barge filled with CO2-captured made bioethanol in Ghent
Ethanol from ArcelorMittal’s Steelanol facility in Ghent has achieved a production milestone whereby ethanol volumes reached a level which supports shipping by barge/ArcelorMittal
At ArcelorMittal in Ghent, the first barge has been left with bioethanol derived from captured CO2. It is the first time that the steel plant's so-called 'Steelanol' plant has provided enough sustainable fuel for inland barges to start using.
