Hyundai presented the new Ioniq 6 N at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in West Sussex, England. This marks Hyundai’s second high-performance EV following the Ioniq 5.
In terms of technical specifications, the performance offshoot of the Ioniq 6 offers an output of 478 kW and 770 Nm of torque (with N Grin Boost), 175 kW in front, 303 kW in the rear, and achieves acceleration from 0-100 kph in 3.2 seconds, with a top speed of 257 kph.

Improved
According to Hyundai, the most significant technical advancements between the predecessor Ioniq 5 and the new Ioniq 6 “include fully redesigned suspension geometry and an improved N e-Shift (virtual gear shift) system that minimizes performance loss.” The company also lauds the improved sound quality “through updated hardware and extensive acoustic fine-tuning.”
The battery management system was also revamped and called the ‘N Battery’. Hyundai writes of optimal temperature management, which allows the system to adapt to a range of track driving scenarios, including drag, sprint, or endurance racing. Battery conditioning functions also provide higher and longer-lasting performance.
For enthusiasts
“With Ioniq 6 N, Hyundai N aims to elevate its offerings, enticing drivers with electric powertrains that offer high-performance enthusiasts a thrilling new avenue to electrify their passion both on the road and on the track,” said José Muñoz, President and CEO of Hyundai.
Manfred Harrer, Executive Vice President and Head of Vehicle Development Tech Unit at Hyundai, added: “Ioniq 6 N combines formidable power, sophisticated battery management, aerodynamic mastery, and advanced suspension systems to deliver a compelling blend of speed, stability, and comfort, setting new benchmarks in modern automotive engineering.”
