Train services between Liège-Guillemins and Verviers will be suspended entirely from today until Sunday, 24 August. Infrabel is starting a major modernization project on line 37. The works include the renewal of points, tracks, overhead lines, and signaling.
Certain bridges will also be renovated, including a bridge in Pepinster that was severely damaged by the summer 2021 floods.
During the works, NMBS/SNCB will provide replacement buses. The timetable for specific national lines will also be adjusted, including the IC trains between Ostend and Eupen, which will not stop at Verviers-Central, for example.
Also, no trains between Liège and Herstal
Until 24 August, there will also be no trains running between Liège and Herstal. In addition to tracks and overhead lines, bridges and tunnels on that line are also being renovated, while renovation work is ongoing at Liège Saint-Lambert station.
Trains running between Liège and Aachen will only run between Verviers-Central and Aachen.
