Mobility and leasing company Ayvens and the charging platform Plugsurfing have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on an all-encompassing charging solution for international and local corporates and for small and midsize companies.
Clients of both Ayvens and Plugsurfing now gain access to the biggest EV charging network in Europe, already offering more than one million public charging points throughout the continent.
A complete solution
With this agreement, Ayvens and Plugsurfing launch a complete charging solution for EV fleets. The users of these vehicles gain access to a user-friendly charging app with a payment service, to make electrification easier and more accessible.
It’s an integrated reporting solution that provides fleet managers with information about charging costs in various locations, such as at home, at the office, or on the road. It aims to provide data insights on the TCO (total cost of ownership) of vehicles and infrastructure.
At the moment, Plugsurfing connects more than 2 million EV users with a reliable European charging network, supported by 500+ charging point operators (CPOs). Now, this will be combined with Ayvens’ expertise in fleet management, its EV fleet of 636,000 vehicles, and its important position in the market.
Phased rollout
The new platform will be rolled out in different phases. The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, and the UK will come first. Other countries will follow as soon as possible. At the same time, Avens and Plugsurfing will optimize their offering and adapt or enlarge it according to changing user needs, new market evolutions, and further technological developments.
“After a thorough tender procedure with 30 participating parties, we concluded that Plugsurfing was the most relevant party to partner with and assist our fleet clients in their charging habits,” says Annie Pin, CCO at Ayvens. “It allows us to broaden our EV portfolio and offer a charging solution, improving the driving experience and optimizing fleet activities.”
This new cooperation underlines the crucial role of Ayvens in creating an efficient and strong ecosystem that leads our clients through the transition towards sustainable mobility,” she adds.
Tom Rowlands, MD of Global EV Solutions at Corpay, the mother company of Plugsurfing, responds: “This collaboration confirms the readiness of Plugsurfing to offer scalable solutions for car fleets. This fleet portal is the centerpiece. It provides companies with the possibility to manage their loading passes, oversee expenses, and gain insight into charging habits at different locations.”
“In combination with Ayvens’ expertise in fleet management, we create a solution that simplifies operational processes and makes charging as simple and fluent as possible throughout the world,” he concludes.
