Brussels Motor Show has high hopes for 2026 edition

According to organizer Febiac, the Brussels Motor Show 2026 is alive and kicking. This 102nd edition will feature a record number of participating exhibitors (64), while two-wheelers are back again, with an additional 28 exhibiting companies.

Frank Van Gool, CEO at the sector federation Febiac: “Records are always lovely for statistics, but to me it’s much more critical that the Brussels Motor Show remains the most important meeting place for our automotive sector. Allied under Mobia, our mobility federations (Febiac, Renta, and Traxio) represent more than 10,000 companies, 160,000 employees, and an annual added value of €11.5 billion, or 2.6% of Belgian GNP.

Two-wheelers are back

Surveys among visitors of the preceding motor shows always showed one very recurrent question: why are there no two-wheelers at the show? For the first time since 2020, two-wheelers will be back, and no fewer than 28 brands will be at Brussels Expo in January.

Christian Lambert, President of the Motorized Two-wheeler Section: In hall 9 of the show, we have assembled the entire two-wheel sector, with a valuable combination of well-known brands and some interesting newcomers.

Find your Drive

As individual buyers, the largest group of visitors at the BMS, are still hesitating about electrification, the organizers have recycled their slogan from last year: ‘Find your Drive’. BMS thinks it’s the best possible way for people who are still hesitating about their new vehicle to come to the show and compare.

As in former editions, there will also be room for entertainment of all kinds and for all ages at the show. Visitors can again test their racing skills in simulators; there are even simulators with real motorbikes.  For children, there’s the family tour, and for petrolheads, there are some supercars.

More international

As one of the survivors of a classic motor show in Europe, thanks to its commercial aspect, the Brussels Motor Show has also become more international over the last years. In recent years, CEOs of many car manufacturers have discovered the show and become impressed by it.

The venue of the European Car of the Year (COTY) Award ceremony has surely contributed here. Also, a growing number of foreigners have already experienced that the Brussels Motor Show is not just a local selling fair but has obtained much higher credentials, resulting in 5 world premieres, 10 European premieres, and 23 Belgian novelties awaiting the venue of over 300,000 visitors.
