The Brussels Motor Show will also be organized in 2027

The past Brussels Motor Show (BMS) in January was a big success, according to the organizers. That’s why they wanted to communicate as soon as possible that the next edition will be held in January 2027 and that they will make some adaptations to make it even more successful.

The event will take place from 8 to 17 January 2027 and, like this year, will again focus on passenger cars, LCVs, and motorized two-wheelers.

Big success in 2026

The 2026 edition of the BMS was a significant leap forward. Almost 350,000 visitors (+14% compared to 2025) made the show the biggest indoor event in Belgium. In the automotive sector, it has become one of the major show events in Europe.

Not only did the number of visitors increase. The number of different car brand exhibitors rose to 67, while 28 motorbike brands returned after five years of absence. Surveys have shown that, in addition to the visiting public, exhibitors and media (including international ones) were enthusiastic about the event.

2027: consolidation and innovation

The organizers want to build further on the positive mood and reactions regarding the two past editions.  The President of the organizing sector federation, Febiac, Freddy De Mulder: “Past editions have proven that if you organize a commercial event and add a serious layer of international interest, it will be successful.”

“We want to strengthen this with even more premieres, the enduring presence of the European Car of the Year Award ceremony, and attracting an even more international interest. Apart from that, we will try to offer an even larger podium for the automotive and mobility technologies of the future,” he added.

Febiac CEO Frank Van Gool is aware that improvements can and have also to be considered: “The influx of visitors, especially on weekends, made the show very crowded at certain times. To enhance the comfort of visitors and exhibitors, we want to provide more exhibition space for cars, LCVs, and motorbikes. Our team is ready to make 2027 another top edition.”

The return of the motorbikes was also highly appreciated. One fourth of the visitors indicated that their first interst where the two-wheelers /Febiac
