Alpine confirms growth in 2026

After a triple-digit growth record in 2025, the Alpine brand continues to grow worldwide in 2026, recording a +54.7% increase in sales (3,246 vehicles) in Q1 2026.

In particular, the brand continues to expand sales in Europe (+53.9%) with 3,096 units. This growth is strongly driven by the UK’s excellent performance (+1,595.2%), which confirms its position as the brand’s second-largest market.

France remains the brand’s first market, with 1,397 units recorded, while other Alpine markets are growing significantly: Germany’s sales multiply by 2 (+145.6%) and Spain’s by almost 3 (+185.2%). The top five markets are France, the UK, Germany, Spain, and Belgium.

A290 is key

Unveiled in June 2024, the Alpine A290 electric ‘hot hatch’ is the brand’s best-selling model. Developed in line with Alpine’s DNA, the Alpine A290 combines compactness and agility, offering easy-to-use high performance while ensuring a comfortable everyday experience.

Available in different versions, GT, GT Premium, GT Performance, and GTS, the model offers two power outputs, with a 132 kW/180 hp motor and a 182 kW/220 hp motor, each version having been created and developed to offer different types of driving experiences.

All versions feature a 52 kWh battery, an 11kW on-board charger, a 100kW DC charger, a heat pump, and iconic 19-inch alloy wheels, which are fitted with special Michelin Pilot Sport EV tires. With 2,452 registrations worldwide (+63.9%), the Alpine A290 is now available in most markets where the brand is present and is a key factor in the brand’s growth.

Go for the higher segment

The latest addition to the Alpine product range, the Alpine A390, was unveiled to the world during the brand’s 70th anniversary year in mid-2025.

The Alpine A390 is a 5-seat ‘sport fastback’ that aims to embody Alpine’s DNA through its onboard technology, including three motors driving the Alpine Active Torque Vectoring system, a patented solution that aims at delivering the feeling of a light vehicle and an exhilarating experience behind its wheel.

Offering two different power outputs, 294 kW/400 hp and 345 kW/470 hp, the Alpine A390 can go from 0 to 100 kph in 3.9 seconds in its highest specification. Already available in key markets, the Alpine A390 GT is now expanding into other European markets.

A110 is still popular; the next generation is coming

The current Alpine A110 is almost entering its final month of production. Unveiled nine years ago at the Geneva International Motor Show, the Alpine A110 has confirmed its leading position in the two-seater sports coupé segment over the years.

To finish on a high, the Alpine A110 is topping the podium in Europe with a 62% market share and first position in France, Germany, the UK, Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands, and Poland.

The next generation will be seriously different, as it will be fully electric, but here, too, the Alpine DNA has to shine through in every way to make it the next best-seller in its segment. To be continued.

Expanding range and network

“The addition of the Alpine A390 into our range alongside our Alpine A290 hot hatch and our iconic Alpine A110 allowed us to have a strong start into the year, said Philippe Krief, Alpine’s CEO. “The team is fully dedicated and committed to supporting the organic growth of the brand.”

“The upcoming months will be interesting for the brand with the extension of the product offer and the brand representation across the key markets,” he added. Alpine accelerated its international roll-out with 44 new points of sales, taking the total to 210 Alpine, Alpine Store and Atelier Alpine in 25 countries worldwide. New openings are scheduled, with the goal of reaching 300 points of sales by the end of the year.
