Skoda has updated its electric Enyaq iV, specifically the sporty RS version. The SUV now gets a boost in power from 299 to 340 hp, thanks to a revised and higher-output electric motor on the rear axle.
The Czechs have also upgraded the energy management software, meaning that despite the power increase and the same 77 kWh net battery, the Enyaq RS range is bumped up to 547 km for the Coupé version.
Finally, a true RS?
Launched a year ago, the Skoda Enyaq iV RS is getting a much-needed upgrade. While it proudly wore the RS badge and a different, sportier set of bumpers, performance was never its forte.
The RS version was only an Enyaq 4×4 with a power boost to 299 hp for a limited time. It might have been the most powerful RS ever, but it remained a 2,3-ton SUV.
Skoda is revising its range-topping version with additional power thanks to a modified electric motor. Total power is, therefore, increased from 299 to 340 hp. Torque is up to a much more significant 679 Nm.
We recognize this power figure from the Cupra Tavascan, which uses a 210-kW permanently synchronous motor at the back and an 80-kW asynchronous motor at the front. The Enyaq RS likely uses the same hardware.

Thus equipped, the new Skoda Enyaq iV RS gets from 0 to 100 kph one second faster than before, in 5,5 seconds. Finally, it can proudly become the fastest road-going Skoda ever.
+25 km range
Despite those power upgrades, the range hasn’t been affected. It has even increased. The battery remains the same 82-kWh-gross and 77-kWh-net unit, but the energy management software has been upgraded to increase the total range by as much as 25 km. The Enyaq RS now showcases a max range of 540 km, while the Coupé does better at 547 km.
Charging has also been enhanced. AC charging remains the same at 11 kW, but DC fast charging can reach up to 175 kW of power. More than the previous maximum power of 135 kW. The Enyaq RS can charge from 10 to 80 % faster in 28 minutes or 8 minutes.

Added features
In addition to those important upgrades, the Enyaq iV RS is also getting added features, such as different graphics for the infotainment and an upgraded driver display with more information than before.
