KIA Belux puts prices on PV5 passenger mini-van versions

Kia Belux has released specs and put a price on the electric Passenger version of its new PV5, part of the Purpose‑Built Vehicle (PBV) lineup built on the E-GMP.S platform. The PV5 Passenger is offered in a single L2/H1 configuration, with a choice of two

Kia’s first electric van, and its first commercial vehicle in any shape or form, will arrive on European roads by the end of 2025 together with the people mover. The cargo version was first introduced in May of this year and pricing for the PV5 in its regular panel van shape, undercuts that of its main rival, the VW ID. Buzz Cargo, by more than €10,000.

Five-seat version first

Kia says the five-seats version of the PV5 Passenger will come first, followed by the seven-seater later. To compare, its Volkswagen competitor retails in Belgium starting at €50.125 up to €68.667 for the version with five seats, €61.710 to €73.810 for the Long Wheelbase (LWB) versions.

What do you get for your money from Kia? A front-wheel driven fully electric EV with the choice between a 89.4 kW (122 hp) motor and 51.5 kWh battery and a range of 295 km or a more powerful 120 kW (163 hp) variant with 71,2 kWh extending your range to 412 km. Both can DC charge at 400V, up to 150 kW, offering 10 to 80% charging in 30 minutes.

To compare: the Volkswagen ID.Buzz comes in two flavors with RWD or AWD, 125 kW (170 pk) and a range of 331 km or 210 kW (286 pk) and a range up to 474 km.

Wide opening slide doors

The side sliding doors open up to 775mm, with a low entry of 402mm in the second row for easy access. In terms of cargo volume, the PV5 Passenger offers 1,320 litres of luggage space in a 5seat configuration, expandable to 2,315 litres with the rear seats folded down.

Kia gives you the choice between three trim levels for both motorization variants: Essential (€36.444 – €40.312), Plus (€37.894 – €41.762) and Elite (€39.925 – €43.793).

V2X bi-direction charging

As you can expect from Kia, the basic PV5 comes pretty much with a load of standard features and ADAS systems. Plus gives you on top of that a standard heat pump, V2X bi-directional charging (11 kW) on top of the internal standard vehicle to laod (V2L) 230V plug in the car and an adaptor for V2L on the outside, an induction chaging pad for your smartphone, heated steering wheel and heated front and rear seats.

The Elite version adds electrical adjustable front seats, vegan leather, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA), Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA) and Safe Exit Warning (SEW), Surround View Monitor (SVM 360°-camera) and Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist (PCA) among others. Even more luxury like ventilated seats or electric sliding doors can be added in special option packs.

The PV5 Passenger can now be ordered from the entire Kia network in Belgium and Luxembourg. Sames goes for the PV5 Cargo, after an initial preorder phase that was reserved for the specialized Kia PBV network.
