Nissan Belux deploys plans for 2026

A lot is going to happen for Nissan Belux in 2026. The recently launched Micra and Leaf are ready for sale; other BEVs are coming. Secondly, Nissan will again be present at the Brussels Motor Show (BMS) in January.

Thirdly, Nissan Belux, part of Nissan eNEST (Benelux plus three Scandinavian countries), will be selling the Spanish quadricycle Silence through its dealer network. Until now, the brand had been imported in Belgium by the import group Astara Western Europe.

Multi Powertrain Strategy

Nissan continues to lean on its ‘Multi Powertrain Strategy’, offering BEVs, e-Power technology, and other hybrids. The popular Qashqai SUV, for example, continues to be a bridge between ICE and BEV, according to Nissan. For 2026, there’s a new third-generation drive system that will be more efficient, performant, and refined.

Up until now, some 250,000 e-Power Nissans were sold in Europe, of which 164,000 were Qashqais. In the new Qashqai e-Power, consumption has been reduced by 12%, resulting in a range (based on WLTP standard) of 1,200 km. All Nissans sold in Belux will now come with a full 10-year warranty when maintained at a Nissan dealer.

Pricing for the new Leaf

Nissan is starting to sell the Micra and the Leaf in Belgium. We already knew that the new electric Micra has a starting price of €29,250; now the starting prices of the two main Leaf models have been revealed.

The new Nissan Leaf comes in two versions: one with a 130 kW electric motor and a 52 kWh battery pack, and the other with a 160 kW motor and a 75 kWh battery pack. The latter promises a 622 km range (WLTP standard), with the smaller battery, one gets approximately 440 km without charging.

In Belgium, a customer will have to pay €37,690 for the basic version with the smaller battery and 130 kW motor; the ‘long-range’ version will start at €42,090. The official WLTP consumption figure of the latter is an impressively low 13.8 kWh/100 km. With fast charging, it will be possible to charge to 420 km of range in 30 minutes. Vehicle-to-Load charging (V2L) will be possible.

New models to come

2026 will see the launch of three new Nissan models. The Nissan version of the upcoming Renault Twingo will come in 2026. The name is not yet known, but some sources say it will be Pico, a name Nissan has already used for its smallest model.

Then there is the Juke successor, which will come as an ICE car and as a BEV. The latter will be clearly different from the version with an internal combustion engine, both inside and outside.

Silence partner

In Belux (and also in other European countries), Nissan is now a partner of the Spanish electric quadicycle and scooter manufacturer Silence. The Silience S04 will be available in different versions, according to the L6/L7 quadricycle homologation.

This means there will be versions limited to 45 kph with no driver’s license required, and another reaching 85 kph, with a driver’s license, competing with the likes of the Citroën Ami, the Renault Mobilize Duo, the Microlino, and others.

According to Pierre-Emmanuel Busière, responsible for Silence in the Belux, the partnership with Silence was chosen because of the vehicle’s equipment level, which outshone competitors. The launch in Belgium coincides with the unveiling of a new basic model, Unico, with one battery instead of two. It will be sold at €9,990.

Silence also distinguishes itself from others by offering removable batteries that can be charged inside the house. The battery, weighing approximately forty kilograms, is transported on a little trolley. The range can reach 160 kilometers.
