DAF has expanded its electric truck range with the XG(+) Electric. It features the same drivetrain as the long-range XF Electric, but adds a more spacious cabin built for driver comfort. Multiple drivetrain options and chassis configurations are available.
On the back of the DAF XD and XF Electric winning the International Truck of the Year 2026 award, the Dutch truck maker (part of the Paccar group) is expanding its range with the XG and XG+ Electric.
This means that DAF now offers electric models from the 12-tonne range up to long-range sleeper trucks for international transport. Only the off-road XDC and XFC now lack a zero-emissions alternative.
500+ km of range
The DAF XG and XG+ Electric (the XG+ has a taller cab with up to 2.2 meters of standing height on board) feature the same electric drivetrain as the XD and XF Electric. Power comes from the Paccar XC-D2 motor, which delivers 370 to 480 hp and 2,400 Nm of torque. A three-speed transmission delivers that torque to the rear wheels.

The battery pack consists of three to five 105 kWh LFP modules, with a total installed capacity of 315 to 525 kWh. That gives the DAF XG Electric a total driving range of over 500 km on a single charge, according to the manufacturer.
Charging from 10 to 80% takes 45 minutes for the smallest battery size at a 325 kW CCS charger. DAF doesn’t mention MCS (Megawatt charging) compatibility.
More spacious cabin
But the main benefit of the DAF XG(+) compared to the XF is, of course, the 33 cm longer cabin. With up to 12.5 m³ of space available, including a full single bed, transporters can equip their trucks with all of the comfort features they need.
The DAF XG(+) Electric is now available to order, both as a 4×2 tractor and as a 6×2 box truck with a steered rear axle. DAF offers an 8-year warranty on the battery and also provides charging solutions and other services through the Paccar Power Solutions suite.
