Ford Pro has secured its place as the European light commercial vehicle market leader for the 11th consecutive year. The Transit Custom van and Ranger pick-up continue to perform well, including their plug-in hybrid variants. In Belgium, the vans are even selling more than Ford’s passenger cars.
Ford Pro, the commercial vehicle department of the American manufacturer, can look back at a record-breaking 2025.
Thanks to a product range that offers multiple levels of electrification and a 360-degree service package, including connected software services, Ford Pro is the market leader in 10 European markets and in Europe as a whole, a position it has held since 2015.

Transit and Transit Custom at the top
In 2025, Ford Pro’s European market share reached 17%. Much of that is thanks to the two-tonne Transit van and the one-tonne Transit Custom, which are Europe’s two most popular commercial vehicles.
But the Ranger pick-up, too, is part of the success story. It is by far the most popular pick-up truck on the European market, with a 47% market share. The recently-launched Ranger PHEV has also found its customers: if treated separately, it would be the fifth-most popular pick-up on its own.

840,000 software subscriptions
Next to the vehicles, Ford Pro is also reporting growth in the connected software services department. Globally, paid subscriptions to the Ford Pro Intelligence suite grew by 30% in Q4 2025 compared with the previous year.
In total, around 840,000 subscriptions are currently active. Thanks to Ford Pro’s preventive maintenance warnings, European customers were able to prevent more than 994,000 days of vehicle downtime.

Ford vans score better than passenger vehicles in Belgium
And the same positives can be taken from the Belgian market. Here, Ford Pro is the market leader for the second time in 5 years, with a 16% share.
The Transit Custom is not only the most popular one-tonne van in Belgium, but the most popular Ford vehicle full stop, even beating the compact SUV Puma.
Ford’s strategy of offering plug-in hybrid or fully electric versions of all its light commercial vehicles is also paying off in Belgium. The E-Transit Custom is the most popular one-tonne electric van, with a 94% market share, albeit in a very small market.
The Ranger, meanwhile, has a 52% market share for pick-ups in Belgium. Its PHEV version even accounts for more than half of sales, thanks to more favorable taxation for private customers in Flanders.
