Aistaland is the latest joint venture from Chinese technology giant Huawei and an existing auto manufacturer, in this case, state-owned GAC. Its first model is the GT7, an electric shooting brake bearing a strong resemblance to the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo. It will launch in China in June 2026.
Aistaland won’t be an easy name to remember, and the origin is just as quirky: it’s short for “AI Start New Land”. It will join brands like Exlantix, Forthing, and Skyworth in the list of “Chinese brands with potentially interesting products that miss the mark on their naming”.

Panamera-esque
In any case, the Aistaland GT7 doesn’t just stand out with its name. Its design, too, has been the subject of headlines for its striking resemblance to the Porsche Panamera. Especially the headlights and shooting brake silhouette remind us of Porsche’s luxury estate model.
The Aistaland GT7 is a full-size model, with dimensions of 5,050/1,980/1,470 mm and a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. Perhaps not coincidentally, it’s about as long as the Porsche Panamera, albeit with a slightly longer wheelbase.

Fully electric with Huawei technology
Aistaland has not yet unveiled all of GT7’s technical details or its interior. But being a Huawei subsidiary, it will feature the Chinese tech giant’s Harmony OS digital cockpit. The headlamps also use Huawei’s Xpixel technology, which can project warnings or navigation icons on the road. Huawei also supplies the Lidar system for semi-autonomous driving.
The GT7 will be a fully electric model powered by two motors. An 800 V battery supplies the power, but no word yet on capacity, range, or charging speeds. Aistaland’s first model will launch in June 2026, with an estimated price tag of around 300,000 yuan (€37,600).
