After launching the Rally version, Opel has now unveiled the production Mokka GSE. It features the same 280-hp electric drivetrain from its Peugeot, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, and Abarth cousins, with a sporty appearance and the bright yellow flashes that are typical for the brand.
Stellantis initially offered its punchy 280-hp electric motor only on the Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce and Abarth 600e. Still, now it appears that every brand has been allowed to create performance-oriented EVs. After the Peugeot E-208 GTi and the Lancia Ypsilon HF, the Opel Mokka GSE is the latest model to be overclocked.

Fastest electric Opel yet
Thanks to the new high-performance electric motor, the Mokka GSE is now the fastest electric Opel to date. With 207 kW (280 hp) and 345 Nm of torque on tap, the compact SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/hour in just 5.9 seconds. The top speed is limited to 200 km/hour, which is also an improvement on the standard model.
Other features include a Torsen limited slip differential, which helps aid traction in fast corners, and Opel promises great driving fun thanks to lessons learned from the Mokka GSE Rally. The 54 kWh battery remains the same as in the regular Mokka Electric, however, providing around 350 km of range.

GSE-specific looks and upholstery
On the outside, the Opel Mokka GSE showcases its muscles with GSE-specific bumpers, aerodynamically optimized 20-inch wheels, flashy yellow brake callipers, and GSE lettering on the front and sides. Inside, the front seats have been replaced by special Alcantara GSE seats, and there’s a new flattened sports steering wheel, too.
No word has been released yet on the market launch or pricing of the new Opel Mokka GSE.
