Leapmotor debuts B10 electric SUV at Paris Motor Show

Leapmotor International entered the Paris Motor Show today with the global debut of the B10, the first model in its new B-series. “This launch marks a critical milestone in Leapmotor’s global expansion, as the company accelerates its efforts to provide accessible, high-tech electric vehicles (EVs) across Europe and beyond,” says the press release from partner Stellantis.

Zhu Jiangming, Founder of Leapmotor, introduced the B10 during the event, emphasizing its significance as Leapmotor’s first global model. “The B10 embodies our vision of an electric future, offering not only superior performance and smart connectivity but also making that future accessible to consumers worldwide,” Zhu Jiangming said.

Stellantis partnership

Tianshu Xin, CEO of Leapmotor International, the 51/49% joint venture between Stellantis and Leapmotor, emphasized Leapmotor’s ambitious global strategy during the unveiling.

“Leapmotor International may be a start-up, but it’s a start-up with two incredibly strong parents. One brings innovation and competitive pricing to the table, while the other, through our partnership with Stellantis, offers powerful global resources and an unmatched service infrastructure. We can offer consumers products like the B10, combining cutting-edge technology with affordability.”

As Leapmotor continues to grow globally, its partnership with Stellantis remains central to its strategy. Carlos Tavares, CEO of Stellantis, emphasized the importance of this collaboration: “Together with Leapmotor, we are making high-tech, affordable electric mobility accessible to consumers beyond Greater China. Our combined strengths allow us to bring innovative solutions to the market quickly and effectively.”

Looking ahead, Leapmotor is preparing to launch additional models from the new B-series in 2025, fulfilling its commitment to expanding its portfolio and providing accessible electric vehicles worldwide.

B10, the first of a series

The B10, a C-SUV, is built on Leapmotor’s new LEAP 3.5 architecture. This highly integrated platform provides “features like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), a customizable digital cockpit, and intelligent driving capabilities.”

The press release boasts that “The B10 is designed to meet the needs of tech-savvy, eco-conscious consumers looking for an electric vehicle that blends style, performance, and advanced technology.”

The B10 represents the first of a series of upcoming models to be launched as part of Leapmotor’s B-series, explicitly designed for global markets. “This new C-SUV is targeted at younger consumers seeking a vehicle that offers advanced technology, connectivity, and environmentally solid credentials at a competitive price.”

Before the Leapmotor B10 hits the European market, it will become available to customers in China. According to CnEVpost, the Chinese automaker targets starting pricing between RMB 100,000 (€13,000) and RMB 150,000 (€19,500).

Of course, those prices will be higher in Europe, especially with the recently proposed tariffs taking effect on Chinese-built EVs. Leapmotor hasn’t given any technical details yet on the car.

Into Europe

As of September 23rd, Leapmotor has already commenced European sales, with over 200 dealers across 13 countries. The company plans to expand this footprint to 500 European sales points by the end of 2025.

Alongside the B10, Leapmotor showcased other key models in its portfolio at the Paris Motor Show. Of course, there was the T03: the compact A-segment EV designed for urban mobility. Starting at €18,900, “it offers great value for city drivers seeking an affordable, high-quality electric vehicle.”

The second one we already knew was the C10, “a D-SUV designed for modern tech-savvy consumers, featuring Leapmotor’s innovative Cell to Chassis technology and life-easing safety features.” The C10 is available from €36,400.

A third unexpected guest was the big brother of the C10, called C16. It’s a D-SUV “featuring an 800 V silicon carbide platform designed for fast charging and spacious family use.” It has a 2+2+2 three-row seating configuration, and “its 15-minute charging capabilities make it ideal for long-distance travel.”
