Opel has gently refreshed its smallest SUV, the Mokka. The compact model gets Opel’s new brand identity, updated technology, and a redesigned cockpit. Nothing changes under the hood, with a choice between gasoline, mild-hybrid, and fully-electric drivetrains, but the Mokka 2025 does come at a lower price.
Even after three years of service, Opel still seems very happy with the design of the Mokka, its smallest SUV. Its technical underpinnings share those of the Corsa hatchback and other Stellantis models like the Peugeot 2008 and DS3. This 2025 facelift changes very little in terms of looks, with only slightly different bumpers, new wheels, and Opel’s new flattened brand logo.
New interior and ChatGPT
On the inside, more news can be found. The Opel Mokka 2025 gets a new steering wheel and center console, both influenced by the recent Grandland, while the infotainment system has been updated and now supports ChatGPT-assisted voice control.
Under the hood, things stay mostly the same. The Opel Mokka has a 1.2-liter gasoline engine (100 hp), a 48 V mild-hybrid (136 hp), and a fully electric version. Before, the Mokka Electric offered the choice between a 50 kWh/136 hp and a 54 kWh/156 hp powertrain, but the former has been scrapped, with only the ‘Long Range’ remaining.
Lower prices across the board
But do not fear: this doesn’t mean the electric Mokka is now more expensive to buy. Quite the contrary: Opel has lowered the prices across the range, with the Mokka 1.2 Turbo now available for €25,800 in Belgium, the Mokka Hybrid for €29,400, and the Mokka Electric for €36,490. This still makes it more expensive than the more roomy Frontera Electric, but the Mokka features more range.
