On Sunday, February 23rd, the Tesla Owners Clubs of Belgium and the Netherlands will organize a world-record Tesla Light Show attempt on the Droneport runway in Sint-Truiden. All Tesla owners from Europe are welcome.
The initiators aim to gather at least 1,000 Tesla cars for a synchronized light show.“The show will be created by the well-known light artist Simon Pollock,” says co-organizer Sven Van Passel.
USB sticks
Each participant will receive a unique USB stick to program his car. This way, the car knows exactly when to turn on which lights, resulting in a synchronized light show.
“It is a free event, and you can register on the Tesla Owners Club website,” explains Van Passel. “The show itself starts at 7 p.m.”
Finland holds European record 2024
All European Tesla owners are welcome at the event. However, those with a Model S or X can only participate if the Tesla was produced after 2022.
The current world record was set in South Korea: 952 Teslas, then gathered for a light show. Finland holds the European record, with 902 Teslas. “So if we can collect 1,000 Teslas in Sint-Truiden, the world record will be achieved,” Van Passel hopes.
