Belgian Ydra launches limited Folon edition e-scooter
Belgian electric scooter manufacturer, Ydra, launches a limited edition of its Retro range dedicated to the internationally renowned Belgian artist Jean-Michel Folon. Limited to 50 units, the e-scooter is draped in a special paint scheme inspired by the artist’s 1972 ‘Double Vue’ piece.
Alongside celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Foundation Folon, Belgian electric scooter manufacturer, Ydra is launching a limited edition model from its Retro range, paying tribute to the Belgian artist. Folon, born in 1934 in Uccle near Brussels, was a much-recognized artist, illustrator, painter, and sculptor unit. He died in October 2005.
In collaboration with the Fondation Folon, Ydra is launching the Retro Folon Limited Editon. Based on the brand’s Retro electric scooter, this version presents a specific paint scheme representing Folon’s 1972 ‘Double Vue’ piece. At €4 895, each unit, the 50-piece limited run can be booked on the scooter maker’s website.
Ydra’s Retro scooter takes the well-known 50’s Italian scooter and brings it to the 21st century with an electric powertrain. Equivalent to 50cc, the 3 kW motor pumps its energy from a 23,4 Ah lithium-ion battery, giving it a range of 50 km at a maximum speed of 45 km/hour. A second optional battery can be installed to double the range.
