Hedin Automotive to import Hongqi EH7 in Belgium

After the bulky Chinese Hongqi E-HS9 super-SUV, Hedin Automotive, the Swedish multi-brand retailer active in the Belux, will now start to import the luxury sedan Hongqi EH7.

According to the press release, the Chinese luxury brand’s fully electric D-segment sedan sets a new standard for range, performance, and roominess. The car offers a range of up to 700 kilometers, and its AWD variant accelerates to 100 kph in just 3.5 seconds, thanks to a 455 kW/619 hp drivetrain.

RWD or AWD, two battery options

The EH7 will be available with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The latter will probably only be offered with the biggest battery pack, 111 kWh. If this largest battery is combined with the RWD variant, a range of over 700 km should be possible. The official WLTP figures still have to be publicized.

The smaller battery pack offers 85 kWh of electric energy. The car is 4.9 m long and has a +3m long wheelbase, guaranteeing a lot of roominess. All the necessary modern technology seems to be aimed at a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere and experience.

Prices and further technical data will be published in the third quarter of this year. The car can then be ordered and admired at the already-opened Hongqi Stores in Antwerp, Brussels, and Ghent.

Simon Fransson, CEO of Hedin Premium Car, comments: “We are happy to introduce a new standard for electric range in the big sedan segment. The EH7 will certainly interest customers looking for a roomy, powerful car with an excellent range. We know that these qualities are sought after by many customers of electric cars, making the EH7 an attractive proposal for the European market.
