Cadillac is in a hurry to deploy a full-grown EV line-up. Its latest electric vehicle, the Vistiq, slots between the massive Escalade iQ and more compact Lyriq, lifting the number of announced battery-powered models to five (next to the Celestiq and Optiq). The Vistiq promises ample range and top-notch charging technology and is positioned as a global model.
The Vistiq’s heart is a 12-module, 102.0-kWh Ultium battery pack. Cadillac estimates the vehicle will deliver 480 kilometers of range at full charge, though official certification is still pending.
For EV drivers concerned about downtime, the Vistiq offers impressive fast-charging capabilities: when connected to a DC fast charger, it can add 130 kilometers of range in ten minutes. The Vistiq brings cutting-edge functionality with bi-directional charging to send power back to a home, providing owners with a valuable utility layer.
Luxury interior design
Inside, Cadillac has infused the Vistiq with an atmosphere of modern luxury. The cockpit’s centerpiece is a stunning 33.0-inch curved digital display that combines a gauge cluster and an infotainment system. Below this, an eight-inch touchscreen provides intuitive controls for various features, including the intelligent air conditioning system.
The Vistiq’s five-zone setup ensures personalized climate control for every passenger, catering to the comfort of up to seven occupants. For those seeking an even more refined experience, the second-row captain’s chairs are available as an option, enhancing both luxury and accessibility.
The Vistiq’s premium design doesn’t stop at technology. Cadillac’s commitment to detail is evident throughout the cabin, from high-quality materials to innovative features that elevate the driving experience. This blend of practicality and luxury positions the Vistiq as a serious contender in the premium EV space, aiming at the Mercedes EQS SUV or the upcoming Lucid Gravity.
Toward 1 million EVs annually
John Roth, vice president of Global Cadillac, commented: “Our brand now has an EV entry in most luxury segments, offering customers a range of choices, and Cadillac EVs will cover most luxury SUV segments across critical global markets in the next two years.” Though not officially confirmed, this reads as the Vistiq stands a good chance of hitting European shores.
The model is expected to hit showrooms in late 2025. That’s also the target year for the American luxury builder to sell 1 million EVs annually.
