Abarth 600e launches with 280-hp Scorpionissima limited edition

Abarth’s most powerful model yet, the fully electric 600e, has been launched in its most principal European markets for a starting price of around 45,000 euros. The compact SUV also gets a new ‘Scorpionissima’ limited edition, which cranks up the power to 280 hp, becoming the most powerful Abarth yet.

The Abarth 600e is available now in select markets like the Netherlands, where the base ‘Turismo’ model costs 45,990 euros, while the ‘Scorpionissima’ limited edition (limited to 1,949 examples) has a starting price of 49,990 euros. However, the versions have a few differences to justify the price gap.

More powerful limited edition

For starters, the Abarth 600e Scorpionissima gets a more powerful electric motor. The standard 600e was already the most powerful Abarth yet with its 175 kW/240 hp motor on the front axle, but the Scorpionissima pushes the drive unit to its limits with a peak power of 207 kW/280 hp.

This allows the compact SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour in 5.85 seconds, compared to 6.24 seconds for the base model. Both versions have a top speed of 200 km/hour.

The battery remains the same in both instances: a 54 kWh unit (51 kWh usable), known from every other Stellantis EV on the eCMP platform, which gives the Abarth 600e a WLTP range of up to 334 km, depending on tire choice.

Exclusive color, race-inspired features

The Scorpionissima limited edition is available in an exclusive color, Hypnotic Purple. It also features specific Sabelt heated bucket seats, a matte black dashboard finish, black details on the body kit, and painted brake calipers.

Other features of the Abarth 600e include a Torsen limited-slip differential for better handling, specific Michelin Pilot Sport EV tires, race-inspired Alcon brakes, and a more powerful battery cooling system to avoid derating.

The Abarth 600e is now available to order in select European markets, and a broader launch should follow soon. The first deliveries are expected in Q1 of 2025.
